MCX MENTHA OIL & CARDAMOM RISE ON SPOT DEMAND

Mentha oil rises by 2.3% on spot demand

• Mentha oil Price moved up by 2.31% to Rs 739 per kg in futures market today as traders built up positions triggered by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
• At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January was up Rs 16.70, or 2.31%, to Rs 739 per kg in business turnover of 418 lots.
• Oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 15.60, or 2.19%, to Rs 727 per kg in 970 lots.

Cardamom rises 1.4% on spot demand

• Cardamom prices rose 1.37% to Rs 877.50 per kg in futures trade today largely on the back of pick-up in demand in the spot market amid low stocks.
• At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for the January 2014 contract gained Rs 11.90, or 1.37%, to Rs 877.50 per kg with a trading volume of 328 lots.
• The spice for delivery in February higher by Rs 10.80 or 1.21%, to Rs 900.80 per kg, with a business volume of 21 lots.
